Biography:

Claire-Helene Martin and Elise Bonail are twin sisters, both dreamers and poets. Two talented daughters of a vineyard farmer, born in Fabrezan (Corbieres), in the foothills of the Pyrenees, the native village of poet, artist and scientist Charles Cros in the country of the Cathars. They discovered art early in life thanks to one of their schoolteachers who noticed their talent for drawing and encouraged them. They started with traditional oil and charcoal techniques, before settling for the fluidity of acrylics. They also enjoy making amusing sculptures out of collected metal and wood odds and ends.
